Plot: In “The Mating Machine,” we meet four people involved with such a gadget — Geraldine Brooks, who runs it; Diana Lynn, as a waitress who mistakes Miss Brooks’ office for an employment agency: John Ericson, as a physicist who thinks he needs a wile, selected scientifically, and George Grizzard, as a disbeliever, They are all thrown together a bit too concidentally, but after that, it is every man (and woman) for himself (or herself).
